Responsible Transportation: Students routinely walk to use public transportation to go on field trips and job shadowing in the community.
Two students Mikeia grade nine and Stephanie in grade twelve who are accompanied by their teacher, Mrs. Parran go to work at Rainbow Apparel in North East Baltimore. This activity started in September 2013 and continues in 2014.The students are aware that walking and using public transportation reduces air pollution and protects the environment.
A part of the curriculum , this year and every year is to learn pedestrian safety . Therefore both ambulatory and non ambulatory students practice crossing the street safely and accessing public transportation. This provides our school and community a smaller carbon foot print
